Letter for Dr. Eastburn Patients

Doctor Ted Eastburn tragically died on Tuesday morning, August 17th, 2010.

Upon leaving the Vanderbilt University Heart Program in 1991, Dr. Eastburn returned to Colorado Springs and joined Doctors David Greenberg and Ronald Blonder in forming the cardiology practice of Pikes Peak Cardiology.  Doctor Eastburn was valued for his expertise in the management of heart failure patients and cared for the most critical of patients in the community. He was well known for his compassion and caring for the poor and was intimately involved in providing clinical services and counsel to both the Mission Clinic and Peak Vista Community Clinic.  A patient was never turned away for the lack of finances. His ethos of “Service First” served the community well in both the medical and political arenas.  He was the catalyst in terms of the practice’s credo of “Beyond Medicine”, what can the physicians and staff contribute to the community beyond the practice of medicine. Dr. Eastburn was a wonderful colleague and skilled practitioner.  He will be truly missed by his friends and the community.

Patients of Doctor Eastburn will be managed by his colleagues of Pikes Peak Cardiology.
