Nita Harris. M.D. joined Pikes Peak Cardiology in 2003. She was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University Medical Center (LSU MC) where she received her Medical Degree and her Residency and Cardiology Fellowship training. Dr. Harris also received training in Nuclear Cardiology at VAMC in 1993. She is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Harris was appointed as Clinical Instructor, Department of Cardiology at LSU Medical Center from 1993-1995. Prior to joining Pikes Peak Cardiology, she served as the Medical Director of Nuclear Cardiology at Arkansas Heart in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the Chairperson for the Pikes Peak Division of the American Heart Association's (AHA) Women and Heart Disease Luncheon, and is also a member of the AHA's Health Initiatives Committee.
Doctor Harris and husband, Brad, have a son, Aidan. Nita enjoys family activities, entertaining and the outdoors, particularly skiing in Breckenridge. |
