Doctor Chris Kim joined Pikes Peak Cardiology in September 2005. After taking a short sabbatical in 2008 he rejoined the practice in July of 2008. Dr. Kim is an invasive cardiologist, Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kim matriculated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1993. He also completed his residency at Baptist Health Systems, Birmingham, Alabama in 1997 followed by a position as Chief Medical Resident. He completed his fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2001 and was Chief Fellow 2000-2001. After fellowship, Dr. Kim was a partner in Cardiovascular Associates, Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Kim's family emigrated from South Korea and settled in Birmingham, Alabama. His father was also a physician. Dr. Kim is married to Tamara, they have three children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping and skiing. His attraction to Colorado Springs was his focus on lifestyle and family.
